Case Study 1: A new Conservatory from start to finish
The customer first decides what shape, size and colour they would like their new conservatory to be. They will subsequently receive, and accept, our quote.
The builder will call to arrange a time convenient to start clearing and preparing the site for the conservatory.
They start to dig out the footings, laying concrete and the engineering bricks up to the damp proof course. Dwarf walls are built with face brick and/or blocks – whatever the customer prefers.
Once the brickwork is up, we come along and do a final measure to order your roof and make the windows and doors that will form the main body of your conservatory.
The next stage is to start assembling your conservatory, starting with the sides and the doors. Once these are in place, we start fixing the roof beams and the glass roof, so the whole structure will take shape.
Once your conservatory is watertight, we proceed to get the first fix electrics and plumbing organised (some people choose to have a radiator added to their heating system put into the conservatory; others opt for a standalone, electric radiator). Next we fit the plaster board and do the plastering. This needs to be left for a couple of days to dry out completely.
Finally we fit any sockets, lighting and radiators. After which, your conservatory will be cleaned and sealed and ready for you to move in and enjoy!
